Prospective candidates should contact the Clarke County Board of Elections and Registration prior to taking any action with regard to the election. In particular, do not raise or expend funds without first obtaining instructions from the board.
All qualifying for local offices takes place at the Board of Elections office in the courthouse. Qualifying for the August 20 primary begins at 9:00AM June 19th and continues during normal business hours until 12:00 Noon on June 21.
The election for Clarke County Board of Education will take place in November. There will be no July primary for school board. School board qualifying begins at 9:00AM July 29 and continues during normal business hours until Noon on August 2.

A supplemental report shall be filed by the
office holder no later than December 31st of each year, following the
year in which the election occurred. (O.C.G.A.

All candidates shall have a five-day grace period in filing the required reports.
If a run-off election is required following a primary,
general, or special election, candidates in such an election shall make such
reports six days prior to the run-off election and shall have a two-day
